She's sitting at the table with her gourmet coffee. Her son is on the cover of the Wheaties box. Her daughter is on the cover of Business Week. Her boyfriend is on the cover of Playgirl. And her husband is on the back of the milk carton.

Darling, Did you put the bins out?

This could very well be a yes/no question.   Then again…..

Already put them out? – suggest a simple, “Yes darling”.
If you must add something,  suggest “Thanks for reminding me”.  Tone is everything here.

Honesty in marriage is so very important.  It’s a good thing.  But remember, you can too much of a good thing.
